It’s only February?

I don’t know if I’ve said this here already but this year has been kicking my ass already.
I’m hoping since so much has happened the rest of the year will be smooth sailing...right?

Poor Smizzo is lost, she’s been out of the loop and I should update her and anyone else who might not know what happened.
Smizzo my darling we had some crap weather last month and on my way to work I hit a patch of black ice on a bridge, went for a few spins and ended up in an embankment.
I was taken by ambulance to the ER where they did tests and released me after finding no broken bones.
Thank Goodness, I was really blessed and although I hurt my neck and back it could have been lots worse.

I’ve been seeing a Chiro which has helped a lot, I occasionally have to take a muscle relaxer but have not needed pain meds in a couple of weeks.
I start Physical Therapy in a few days.

A week after my accident my 86 year old grandfather passed out fell and ended up cutting his head open, he lost a lot of blood which we found out at the ER he didn’t have to spare, his heart is in trouble and he’s in need of an operation but is too weak for that. So between my dad, my brother and myself we stayed with him at the hospital the entire time, he went home a week later but is still in delicate health. He’s at home with my grandmother who is confined to a wheelchair and has dementia.
My dad and step-mom have been taking care of them since they just live a few blocks away.
All of this has taken a toll on my dad’s health and now we are concerned about him, he can’t keep up this pace for long.
We are hoping the primary Doctor will request Home Health care, and of course hoping the damn insurance will approve it soon.

As if all that wasn’t crazy enough, the day after my grandfather fell my step-mom’s dad passed away in “The Mother Land”, so we had to deal with that and she flew out the next morning and was gone for a week. My dad wasn’t able to go with her since my grandfather was so ill.
Oh wait there’s more!

My youngest niece got really sick and ended up having surgery 2 weeks ago, while all the grandparent stuff was at full speed we were all sick with worry, she’s only 8 and in horrible stomach pain, she had to have a lot of invasive tests, and then the surgery. She’s on heavy medication and still in pain so excruciating it knocks her off her feet.

I’m so thankful for JR, he takes such good care of me. He chauffeured me around to doctors appointments and hospitals to see my grandpa and do what was needed, he made sure I took my medication and didn’t overdo it, he handled all of the insurance stuff and got my car where it needed to go and I never even had to talk to anyone, we picked up the loaner car and dropped it off together, other than that I did nothing.

Life goes on and it doesn’t stop for anyone or anything, but that’s good in a way, I was glad to get back to work and in my routine again.
I’m going to take grandpa to the Cardiologist today, we will hopefully get some answers and maybe he’s strong to take the surgery.

I think that’s all I had to update...that’s enough for sure.
