Vacay #1

10.02.2009 • in the early evening

My vacation began at 3:30 this afternoon, I already feel my nerves getting better and my jaw is unclenched so I am calling this vacation a success already.
We had a very productive day at work today and I think things are going to improve a whole lot, we had a “come to Jesus meeting” we vented and we were heard and validated enough to leave a smile on our faces and a sigh of relief...we exhaled after months of stress. There is hope.

JR and I leave tomorrow morning for OKC, we’ll do the touristy thing Saturday and part of Sunday and then we’ll pick up Sissy before heading back home, I am SO excited!!! We’ll hang out at home making our doggy get acclimated to her new home and family a couple of days, then we’ll drive to the hill country for some R&R and of course some outlet shopping. We’re really just playing it by ear and have just loosely made plans which is nice but very unlike psycho planning Sassy!
I go back to work for a week and then I’m off the following week, awesome!

Today I went to get my nails filled and saw what I can’t help but feel is one of the saddest things I’ve seen, there was a bridal party getting manicures, the bride is 8 months pregnant and 15 years old...she had on a very tight T-shirt with “BRIDE” printed on it, her 2 friends were just as young. The bride was obviously miserable and uncomfortable being so big, her poor little body...sad, the whole thing was very sad.

How exciting!  Have a great time and give your new baby a kiss for me.  wink

I have seen so many pregnant teens lately.  What is in the water?  Whatever it is it’s BAD.
