If you follow me on Twitter you know that Bridget the Blackberry is dead, may she rest in peace...she was with me for a year and served me well.

Enough mourning. I got a new Curve 8530 yesterday and I’m already loving it, it usually takes me a while to warm up to a new toy but this one is greatness.
It’s purple and I would prefer pink of course but that’s the only minus, last week Friglet posted a list of all of the BB apps. she has and Misty commented with a list of her own, a new one for me is DriveSafe.ly.
BB Messenger is amazing, this version is packed full of goodies, basically everything about this baby rocks my socks.

I’ll be testing the camera and will share a pic with y’all, I can already tell it’s sharper and much better that the 8330’s.
I need to figure out what this whole “scanning” thing is about too, anyone of you know?

Just had to share, y’all act excited for me now k? thanks!

Thoughts…

2.17.2010 • in the mid-morning

Y’all probably know I’m a TV junkie, actually more like TiVo’s bitch, and I got caught up on some of my shows last night and since I have nothing to post…

Supernanny: I need to just delete this season pass, all I can stand to watch is the beginning and the end. The middle makes me want to jump through the TV and bitch slap the parents and/or the kids...I can’t take disrespectful, spoiled kids, just drives me batty.

Dr. Phil: Anyone else following the Dr. Phil Family? if you are let me know and we can dish, I am hooked! it’s like a soap opera and better than “reality: shows.

RHOC The original and still my favorite Housewives, love ‘em or don’t ...it varies by episode, my emotions are fickle. It’s so weird watching now since I heard Tamra and Simon are splitsville, and still when I see that slimy Slade I shudder and fast forward.

Last night I also caught a marathon of Bad Girls Club, I’d never seen that show before but was all caught up in the drama...and OMG why are they always showing their butts???? whyyyyyyyyy???

I also TiVo a few of wedding shows, I love David Tutera’s show and Say Yes To The Dress.

What’s your TV crack?

My dog ate them

Did you know they made bags of just green M&M’s?? they are called “The New Color of Love”

I got some for Valentine’s day.

Sissy chewed through the bag and ate a couple.
That “myth” may not be such a myth after all...just sayin’

In the thirty years I’ve lived in TX I have never seen so much snow, about 5-6 hours ago we had 8 inches already, and it’s not like the wimpy flaky ice we get every other year for a day or two, this is honest to goodness heavy snow fall.

I love it frankly and wish it would stick around for a week or so...prob not going to happen.

Yep, eight inches baby wink Deal with that big boy...?? I don’t know.

Smizzo asked me if I had my winter clothes on...Sassy say whaaaaa???
I was out in sweats and sneakers or tenny shoes or whatever you may call them, I was out a lot but didn’t get cold, I’m a badass like that and I lived up north as a kid, I don’t need no stinking winter clothes man!

I got some pictures up on Flickr, so take a look if you want, there are a few shots of a cute boy and a certain wild doggie too.

White Valentine

We got snow, lots and lots of fluffy REAL snow and it’s still falling, it’s so beautiful.
JR was taking me to work because I refuse to drive in this shit since my accident, we saw 2 wrecks within 3 blocks from home, I called my boss and he said to go back home, it was getting bad around the office and we were closing.
Tomorrow is going to be a mess too, so EVERYTHING is shutting down, all schools and most businesses, we don’t know how to act around here with such things, we’re used to 110 degrees and hell-like humidity.

The pic is of the pasture on a dairy on the way to work, the moo cows were taken inside I guess, I hope they are warm.

It’s only February?

2.03.2010 • in the evening

I don’t know if I’ve said this here already but this year has been kicking my ass already.
I’m hoping since so much has happened the rest of the year will be smooth sailing...right?

Poor Smizzo is lost, she’s been out of the loop and I should update her and anyone else who might not know what happened.
Smizzo my darling we had some crap weather last month and on my way to work I hit a patch of black ice on a bridge, went for a few spins and ended up in an embankment.
I was taken by ambulance to the ER where they did tests and released me after finding no broken bones.
Thank Goodness, I was really blessed and although I hurt my neck and back it could have been lots worse.

I’ve been seeing a Chiro which has helped a lot, I occasionally have to take a muscle relaxer but have not needed pain meds in a couple of weeks.
I start Physical Therapy in a few days.

A week after my accident my 86 year old grandfather passed out fell and ended up cutting his head open, he lost a lot of blood which we found out at the ER he didn’t have to spare, his heart is in trouble and he’s in need of an operation but is too weak for that. So between my dad, my brother and myself we stayed with him at the hospital the entire time, he went home a week later but is still in delicate health. He’s at home with my grandmother who is confined to a wheelchair and has dementia.
My dad and step-mom have been taking care of them since they just live a few blocks away.
All of this has taken a toll on my dad’s health and now we are concerned about him, he can’t keep up this pace for long.
We are hoping the primary Doctor will request Home Health care, and of course hoping the damn insurance will approve it soon.

As if all that wasn’t crazy enough, the day after my grandfather fell my step-mom’s dad passed away in “The Mother Land”, so we had to deal with that and she flew out the next morning and was gone for a week. My dad wasn’t able to go with her since my grandfather was so ill.
Oh wait there’s more!

My youngest niece got really sick and ended up having surgery 2 weeks ago, while all the grandparent stuff was at full speed we were all sick with worry, she’s only 8 and in horrible stomach pain, she had to have a lot of invasive tests, and then the surgery. She’s on heavy medication and still in pain so excruciating it knocks her off her feet.

I’m so thankful for JR, he takes such good care of me. He chauffeured me around to doctors appointments and hospitals to see my grandpa and do what was needed, he made sure I took my medication and didn’t overdo it, he handled all of the insurance stuff and got my car where it needed to go and I never even had to talk to anyone, we picked up the loaner car and dropped it off together, other than that I did nothing.

Life goes on and it doesn’t stop for anyone or anything, but that’s good in a way, I was glad to get back to work and in my routine again.
I’m going to take grandpa to the Cardiologist today, we will hopefully get some answers and maybe he’s strong to take the surgery.

I think that’s all I had to update...that’s enough for sure.
