I got the house decorated for Christmas today, I started cleaning and putting things away around 8am and other than taking a couple of short breaks I didn’t stop until now.

Last year I sucked at the Holiday thing all around, I have this thing about not doing anything Christmas related until Thanksgiving is over, some years when we get home from my in-laws we decorate, last year I got the Advent calendar up for our grandson and JR brought the tree in and it stayed undecorated, some nights he’d plug it in but I couldn’t care less about even doing that much.
I was in a funk, the Holiday blues were drowning me but this year I’m not going there.

I didn’t think about how much had to be done even before I started decorating, and I didn’t get discouraged thinking about how pretty soon it will all have to be taken down.

I feel so good knowing we can enjoy next week now, it’s all done! If it’s cold enough on Thursday I want to come home and have JR build a fire, we’ll snuggle up and watch “Christmas Vacation” because it’s a tradition and that will be the end of our day.
Friday morning Jules and I are going shopping, I don’t know why I’m excited about that but I am, I’m not a morning person by any means but we’ll be out by 4am.
Madness!!

It was one of those days that start off really busy but ends on a quiet peaceful note, I love quiet evenings at home.
Did that just sound like a personal add? “I love walks in the park and quiet evenings at home, I have a trick pelvis and can put my whole fist in my mouth”
Ha ha ha!

Yeah. I took a 3 hour nap this afternoon since we had to get up and going so early, I woke up at 6:30 and decided to go shopping for scrapbook stuff. I’m taking that up again and I’m actually exited about it, mostly happy that I will be finally making use of all the thousands of dollars in supplies I have, tonight I bought a rolling tote and storage boxes to file pictures for each project, I can’t wait to get started.
What a nerd I can be...jeez.

We had a soggy wet crappy day today, but it’s Friday and I only work 2 half days next week so it’s all good.

We have a busy day tomorrow with my family’s Thanksgiving lunch and another family event, hopefully the rest of the weekend will be low-key, I am really physically and mentally exhausted and need a break.

Today I wore a very nice outfit to work, the best part was my high heeled black knee-high boots.
I felt kind of hot you know? I love hearing the sexy clicking of my heels and just felt sassy as hell.

About 3pm I decided to give my feet a break and took the boots off, that is when all the sexiness left me, I had put on a pair of trouser socks this morning...one black and one navy blue.
That was very humbling, and so very me.

I clicked on the link expecting to see the Twilight guy or that insipid little adulterer Brad*Pitt again...TEAM ANISTON!

I was so very very happy when this luscious hunk of man candy looked back at me....

He’s so yummy!

Next week is Thanksgiving, yes, so get off your ass and get to the grocery store and stuff.
I only have to make one side dish and a dessert, so I get off easily.
I can cook, I just have to be in the mood for it and I’m usually not, I’m usually in the mood to sit at the kitchen table and talk to the people doing the cooking, I provide the entertainment for them to make the time pass...I feel that my job is as important as that of the cook, I’m a giver.

Christmas. I am putting my foot down this year and forcing myself to stay on my shopping budget, and to get it all done by the weekend of Thanksgiving.
I refuse to stress myself out, gift cards are my friends and I will embrace them for certain people and not feel one iota of guilt.

Anyone going out at the asscrack of dawn on Black Friday???
