Today was a really strange day and it ended that way too, we helped get a drunk driver off the road before he hurt himself or anyone else.
More on that tomorrow, right now I am going to cuddle my sleeping grandson and kiss his chubby cheeks...we are home safe and I am beyond thankful.

I took Sissy to the Vet for a check-up and to get her shots, she did well and is healthy so Yay!

The Vet is a living doll, not only does he look JUST LIKE Anderson*Cooper but he claims could not believe I’m old enough to be a grandmother...I think I love him
She is off to the groomer tomorrow for a freaking spa treatment, this bitch is having more fun than I am, she got to 2nd base with the cute Vet and tomorrow she gets more pampered than usual...tramp!

Today I woke up in a great mood, enjoyed my iPod playing in the car, I got to work early and got a lot done in a quiet building.
I felt good.
Yet, all day long it seemed like everyone...male, female and vegetable was PMS’ing.
So my new motto, which I may even trademark and put on T-shirts is: “I will NOT let mere mortals steal my joy”.

I didn’t let anyone get to me, and that made me feel strong and powerful, that’s a great thing.

I sometimes turn into an 11 year old boy and I find humor in juvenile things like this:

How long has it been? I think most of my post the past year have started off with some version of that...I suck and I suck a lot.

I don’t know what’s going on with me, I love my blog and I love to read others but I can’t seem to get my groove back, help me Stella!!!!!!!!!

Anyway, so I’m making a deal with myself to post everyday until December 31 ‘09, even if it’s a lame picture post you will hear from me...I know, you’re excited aren’t you?

So an update, everyone is good. JR has been able to take off 2 weeks this month to be be with me while I took vacation but being self-employed he will be paying for that for the next 2 months.
The Girl is good, working and looking to go back to Grad school in January.
Bebe...*sigh* I am sooooooooooo in love with that kid, I can’t even think about him without smiling and/or tearing up because he is just so amazing.
We spent the past week with him and it was awesome, saying bye to him after 7 days put me in a serious funk last night.
BabyG...we’ve only seen her once in a month’s time, she’s growing so fast and is such a cutie...Her home life has improved some, but now her mom is pregnant and due in May, BabyG is not even a year old yet...yeah.

One of my aunts is here from Canada and I’ve really enjoyed her, she’s an older shorter(imagine that!) version of me so we really give each other a hard time and we laugh a lot. She will leave next weekend and I hate to see her go.

Work...the shit hit the fan a few weeks ago, and I was the one who turned the switch on and made it spin but thankfully it got the ball (ha ha ha) rolling and everyone else got everything off their chest, it’s been a LOT more pleasant around here, we’re all glad we finally addressed the huge pink elephant in the room.
We’ll see if the changes are permanent, if not I’ve promised myself and JR that I will get the hell out of here.

I’m watching John Cougar Mellencamp’s performance at Farm Aid, and I have to say that I have come to appreciate him later in his career, in the 80’s I feel his music was kind of overlooked and maybe was ahead of his time, I don’t know...he rocks though, and if I didn’t feel like butt I’d be dancing like a doofus right now.

Anyway, I finally caught the crud everyone has had, I feel o.k today but my head is keeeeeling me! the sinus pressure...horrible.

I’m off work this week but I had to go in for a meeting, that took 3 hours and it’s the first time Sissy has been alone since coming home, I wasn’t sure what I would find but she is such a good girl, I didn’t crate her or anything and she just hung out, how cool is she?

I will post some pics from our weekend trip soon, it was an amazing couple of days all alone with JR which lately happens like...never, and the OKC*Bombing*Memorial was an unforgettable experience. I’ll get the pictures upon Flickr soon too...o.k time to take some drugs and cuddle with my doggy.
