I can’t believe it’s practically October already, where has this year gone??
Last week was so nice with highs in the low 80’s, this week we’ll be 10 degrees hotter which bites.

In a few days JR and I will have our wedding anniversary, we’re going to drive up to where Sissy is and spend the weekend sightseeing and hanging out and then go pick her up, we both took vacation the following week so we may take another trip, it all depends on how the doggy does in her new home.

The weekend was odd, we both didn’t feel like doing much Saturday, we had Bebe with us and he was not feeling well so we just vegged out.
That afternoon we took him home since we had to met my in-law’s for diner.
Sunday I forced myself to get out of bed and not be a slug again, we left the house around 11:00 and had breakfast.
We shopped for Sissy most of the afternoon and still got home without her food/water dishes and a carrier.
I bought her toys

and a couple of sweaters, her bed and a collar and tag(got the pink one of course)
I ordered another collar and matching leash for her but I’m not sure if it will be here before we leave town, that can be her “going out” collar and leash...ha ha ha OMG I need help.

Work is still HORRID! and I can use a vacation like a crackhead needs a fix...for reals!

I got a few recent pictures of doggy girl, she looks even cuter and sweeter than the first one K sent me.
Once JR gets home we’ll make plans to go pick her up, she is 3 hours away so it will be a quick trip.

One thing I’m unsure about is her name, I’ve never changed a dog’s name so I don’t know if you can do that without traumatizing the poor thing, I just can’t get myself to be O.K with her current name, even if she has had it for 2 years. I thought about re-naming her something close to Chrissy so it won’t be too confusing...Sissy, Prissy??? what do y’all think?

I’ve emailed several times and talked to the breeder (K) today, I also got the go-ahead from JR to get her and she is my anniversary present!!!
I am beyond excited!

I feel like she is meant for us even more today, I found out that her original breeder gave her up because she was not the size she was looking for in breeding stock, so K basically rescued her at a year old and has had her for over a year now, she said she is a sweet and affectionate baby, perfect for us!
K said she never offered her or listed her at all because she just felt the right parents would come along at the right time, or she would just be hers forever.
When I said I did not have a preference for a puppy or older dog she mentioned Chrissy (not sure about keeping the name), after she got my questionnaire back and talked with me she felt good about us bringing Chrissy to live with us.

I can’t wait to meet her and bring her home!

I have been wanting to get a puppy for a very long time, I love my Molly girl but she is not a lap dog by any means, I want a prissy girly doggy dog.

I had a Maltese before and I love the breed, she was the dog from hell though, I learned the hard way that I had unknowingly bought her from a backyard breeder.
I don’t regret it because we gave her a good life and she was loved, but I don’t want to make that mistake again.
JR and The Girl suggested I try a different breed, Maltese are very high maintenance even if you keep them in a puppy cut, you have to groom them often, brush them everyday and there are the evil tear stains to contend with.
I did a lot of research into toy breeds and decided to look into a Yorkie. My darling Smizzo had one and I emailed her for advise, she’d had the same kind of experience having gotten hers from a pet store, she also mentioned that her dog was never really potty trained which is a pain.
I kept researching for a couple of months narrowing down a handful of reputable breeders in our area, something just kept telling me to not make a commitment and I kept looking at Maltese pups.
A few weeks ago I asked someone who has had one of each which one is the best dog in her opinion, she said the Maltese since it was easier to train among other things.
All my research indicates Yorkies are a bit temperamental, yippy-yappy and stubborn, we already have a bitch like that in this house.

Long story short...I contacted a Maltese breeder today, I let her know that I was interested in a female dog, no preference for her age really, I don’t have to have a puppy.
She emailed me pictures of an adorable 2 1/2 year old baby, she is precious! she also said a litter is due the first week of October and I could pick a girl from that litter.
I’m so excited!!!
The adult dog was being kept as a prospective show dog but did not work out in the ring, she was bred once and then fixed.
I’m waiting to hear about the fees and get the health info on her, so keep your fingers crossed that it will work out...if this is the pup for us of course

Have you ever had a day at work that is so crazy, that you actually hide under your desk when you hear a certain person coming down the hall?
No? just me then? O.K.

In case you’re wondering it didn’t work, said person came on in and asked what I was doing...I said I was looking for something.
That something might have been a shovel to tunnel my way out of the building, but there was no need to go into that.

My Doctor’s appointment made me miss the 2nd part of the Whitney-Oprah interview yesterday, thank goodness for TiVo.
I stopped watching Oprah a long time ago, she annoyed me more than she entertained or informed me, I know she is crushed.

I had to watch Whitney because I really want to believe the crackwackiness is over and she will stay clean and sing, I think her voice is truly amazing.

I saw the train wreck that was “Being Bobby Brown” one weekend they had a marathon and OMG was that ever an effing mess!
I also watched him on that CMT reality show...can’t remember what it was called, but he was downright likable and charming in that, I didn’t want to like him but…

I love me some underdogs, like Britney and Whitney...I can get behind a hot mess and hope for the best, except for Michael*Jackson because Ugh and Eww!

The Doc gave me some Steroids for my sickness, can y’all tell???

I’m so ready to have a change in season such as it is here, the last few days we’ve had a lot of rain and the highs have been around the low 80s, that’s ok I guess but I really want it to get cold and stay that way.

I have cute outfits that need to be worn, new sassy knee high boots to show off, come on!

I’m sick of flip flops sandals and freakin’ capri pants, so sick of seeing toes everywhere...??...I don’t know, just am.
The first day it gets below 65 I’m going to put on every clothing item I’ve been waiting to wear, sweaters, scarves, boots and jackets all at once, heh!

Can y’all believe it’s already mid September?? that’s crazy isn’t it??
