I’m feeling really out of sorts today, I can’t concentrate on anything and I’m not feeling like myself at all...my brain is foggy and I can’t focus.

I hate when JR and I have a “spat"… it just throws me into a funk, we don’t have them often but when we do it sucks. We don’t fight we just have disagreements like any other couple does, he usually wants to make up before I’m ready and he can let stuff go easily but me? no, I don’t get over stuff for a while and I just want to be left alone.
I get real quiet and need time to be pissy and sulk or whatever it may be.

It’s not the silent treatment, I just don’t like to talk to him when I’m mad or had my feelings hurt, I have a pretty sharp tongue and I don’t want to go there with him. I don’t want to say something in anger and regret it later.
I’ve never gone there with him because our relationship is different than any I’ve been in before, but I do feel the need to be defensive...old habits are hard to break.

Anyway...just had to vent...or something.

If you look at my upcoming events you’ll see that I’ve got an appointment with the Orthodontist.
At the ripe old age of forty-two my ass has to get a tin grin, fantastic.
My dentist said if I want to keep from having jacked up teeth in a year or two I need to do this now, thanks parents for not listening when the dentist said I needed them 26 years ago!!!!!

I guess if Smizzo can do this I can too, except she is a big chicken butt and will not post pictures of her braces, you know I will! I have no shame and will be all geeked out on Flickr as soon as I get the damned things on.
Not sure when I will actually get them yet, I’m just going for a consultation first, and to hear how much this little adventure is going to cost, my insurance will only cover braces for YOUNG people. I asked dad to pay for them and he just laughed...and laughed and laughed some more.

The end result will be beautiful of course but just the thought of braces at this age...crap!

In much happier news I am registered for the American Heart Association walk and the Juvenile Diabetes walk, they are both in September and I’m psyched.
I’m dragging The Girl with me, I should probably mention that to her huh? we’ve been walking at the track most nights and it’s been fun having that time with her.

I’m off to read blogs now until it’s time to go home, I’m leaving early today.

Our kidless weekend went really well, we were so busy but it still seemed like a long weekend.

Friday night we went to dinner but could not decide on a movie so we called it a night, which worked out well as the rest was needed.

Saturday we took our time getting up and out of town, we drove about 2 hours and saw this I just had to post this picture for Misty.

We had a great Mexican dinner and it was a good thing I’d only had toast for breakfast because the portions were huge!
We stopped at a famous little Czech bakery and got a few goodies for breakfast on Sunday.

Sunday we went to my In-laws’ for JR’s birthday dinner. My MIL can cook like no one I know, and I can’t even tell you how much I ate because I’m a little ashamed really :(
We got to spend some time with our Grandson and that is always a treat, the pictures are here

If you read it you already know that our grandson is deserting us this weekend, so it looks like JR and I are going to have an all adult weekend...we have no idea what we will do.
I have some loose plans, we’re going to dinner somewhere high chairs are not part of the decor and maybe a movie if we can agree on one. I know that sounds super duper exciting don’t you envy us? LOL!

Tomorrow we’re taking a day trip but that’s as far as we’ve gotten.

It’s not like we are forced or even asked to have the baby every weekend, and it sure doesn’t feel like a chore or babysitting we just love him and love spending time with him.
On Fridays I cannot wait to go get him, and all our plans include him because he is so well behaved that we can take him anywhere.
He’s almost 2 now and time has flown like mad, he’s our little buddy and the older he gets the more fun we have together.
We’re hoping we can have that bond with our granddaughter too but y’all know the deal there.

The next few weekends are jam packed with plans already, it will be nice to do nothing on Sunday except you know...take naps and stuff
